The Nine Henry’s
The Nine Henrys are charming and irreverent and I would like it very much if they jumped off the page and into my living room!
It all started on the back of a beer mat, like most good ideas.
I had the idea of drawing the same character as many times and the title
“The Nine Henry’s” sprung to mind.
The rules are simple; minimal surrealism.
As soon as I draw a cartoon I cannot edit it, although when I scan them in
I do erase the background and keep it white, that is the only image manipulation I can do.
Some of the strips are almost anti-humour which tickles my subversive side.
